Our financial plans are designed . . .

using the same wealth management disciplines and techniques employed by the largest institutional money managers in the world. These include asset allocation, modern portfolio theory, fundamental research and the discipline of buy-and-hold.

In addition we employ a proprietary mutual fund research process to identify those mutual funds that have the greatest likelihood of meeting our goals and expectations as well as those of our clients. For additional information on our proprietary asset management process, please click here.

Our Initial Consultation – Data Gathering

This first meeting typically lasts between one and two hours and is meant to provide an opportunity for:

  • You to ask questions of us regarding our planning strategies and what you should expect from the process and
  • Our advisors to learn about your current financial situation, your goals and objectives and your expectations for the relationship.

It is important that we discuss the specifics of our approach to investment and risk management.  This discussion will help you set realistic expectations about our relationship, our performance and the performance of the various securities markets.

Meeting Two – Presenting Your Plan

At our second meeting we present our customized financial plan to you.  The overall plan is reviewed and each individual recommendation is explained in detail.  You are provided with an executive summary of the plan as well as all the supporting documentation.

Part of our responsibility is education.  In this second meeting one of our main goals is to help you understand exactly what we are recommending and why.

In this meeting we will introduce you to the specific investment or insurance companies that we feel will best meet your needs and discuss the applicable fees and expenses.

Making Your Decision

Once we have reviewed your plan and our strategies with you, we encourage you to take your time in deciding how you would like to proceed.  Some individuals are comfortable moving forward immediately.  Most like to review the plan on their own and then meet again to discuss their questions prior to moving on.  Some ultimately decide that our plan is just not right for them.

We understand that our approach may not be suitable for every client. In those rare instances where our management style and philosophy are not a good fit, it is best to make that assessment as early as possible in the process.

Meeting Three – Final Plan Review and Implementation

Once our recommendations have been explained in detail and all of your questions have been answered, we are ready to proceed with implementation.

This will entail the completion of the paperwork necessary to establish the appropriate investment or insurance accounts and to transfer assets under our management.

We will lay out a timeline for completion of the various steps needed to implement your financial plan and we will be in frequent contact as each step is completed.

Ongoing Plan Management

The investment companies we recommend provide the best tools available for constructing a well-balanced investment portfolio.  They offer excellent service, flexibility, client access, low costs and the widest variety of investments.

Your investment accounts are constantly monitored for consistency and performance.  Because we do extensive research prior to recommending any investment, frequent changes are unnecessary.  However when changes are required, your advisor will contact you with an explanation of the issue and the recommended course of action.

Our proprietary mutual fund research process is based on the accumulation of many years experience with and study of the unique characteristics of mutual funds.  This research process is dynamic and is constantly improved to stay current with an evolving mutual fund universe.  We are happy to share more specifics of our mutual fund management process if you are interested.

The insurance carriers we recommend for our clients are among the oldest, highest rated and financially secure firms in the industry. When our clients’ planning needs require the use of life, long-term care or disability insurance, it is critical that those companies be strong enough to meet our clients’ needs now and into the future.

It is important to keep in mind throughout the planning process that Rosetta Financial and our advisors are independent and not tied to any insurance or investment firm.  This means that we are free to use any investment or insurance product that we feel will best meet our clients’ long-term needs.

Regular Client Communication and Annual Meetings

As a client you will always have access to us via phone and e-mail for any ongoing questions.  Whether you have a specific question regarding your investment plan or you have read something on which you have a general question, we are here to answer your questions.

On either a monthly, quarterly or annual basis (depending on your plan) you will receive account statements and progress reports.  These will come from the investment and insurance companies with whom you are doing business as well as from your advisor at Rosetta Financial.

If your financial situation changes and we need to meet to review your plan, you should contact your advisor immediately and set an appointment.  In addition, if you ever have questions or concerns that you want to discuss at a face-to-face meeting, we are available for you.

At a minimum we do ask that you meet with us at least annually to make sure that none of your goals or objectives have changed and that our original plan and recommendations are still appropriate for your situation.
